Black and White Chalkboard

Good morning friends..

 Remember this cute little black and white check bench I painted a few weeks back.

I put it in the blah entryway and then noticed that the wall above it needed something.  So I decided a cute little black board would look good here.

I can't find the before picture of it...(isn't it amazing how these things can get lost on the computer) but it was an old brown mirror that was left here by the previous owners...

I loved the shape of it but not so much the brown wood.  So I decided to paint it to go with the bench.  I painted it with DIY Anthem white chalk paint.  Then I just enhanced some of the features on it with black and gold paint pens.  No special painting here just traced the lines of the wood.  Then I painted the mirror part with black chalk board paint.  It took 3 coats.  Covers very well and I love the look of it.

We hung it over the bench and I love it there.  It goes so perfect with the bench and makes this entryway so much more inviting.  I added a little interest with a palm plant and a small white bunny.

 What do you think?   Such an easy project that makes such a huge transformation.
